Dharanidhar farmer’s group of Nuagaon village was formed on 5th Aug, 2013. The group consists of 10 members. They collected Rs 10 from each member in every month as savings and keep the money in the bank account. Now they have Rs. 6,000 in their bank account. The name of the secretary is Mr.Susil Chandra Nayak and the name of the president is Mr. Nirmala Chandra Mohanta. After taking farmer’s training at Agricultural training center, Patna organized by PECUC, Mr. Nirmala contacted ATMA office to link with the scheme. Under this scheme, there are provision for getting manure and medicine free of cost.
After getting the support, Mr. Nirmala with other members of farmer’s group have done maize cultivation in 6 acres land by using organic manure. Each member got profit of Rs 2000. The total profit was Rs. 20,000/- From the money they kept Rs 200 in their bank accounts and rest amount of Rs. 1800, they used to purchase dress and school copies for their children.
